I graduated from St. Johns School of Nursing, Rapid City South Dakota and studied at Montana State University. My thirty year nursing career ended as head nurse for the Family Practice Residency Program at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. While in Scottsdale I served on the board of Westminster Village Senior Living Facility, the first of its kind in Scottsdale, and the board of the Scottsdale Mental Health Foundation. I was also a founder and past president of the auxiliary for the Scottsdale Foundation for the Handicapped. I served three years as a board member for Wickenburg Community Hospital ending as President. Later I served on the Hospital Foundation Board, only to serve once again at the Hospital.
