Interventional Radiologist

My name is Aaron Wittenberg and I am an interventional radiologist. Most people don’t know what an interventional radiologist does until they need one.  Even my wife doesn’t really know what I do when I leave for work each day!  An interventional radiologist uses imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, or ultrasound to perform minimally invasive procedures.  We do different procedures to treat vascular disease, help oncologists treat certain cancers, and remove blockages to help different organs function better.  Currently, at WCH, we are performing image guided spine injections to manage back pain and treating painful varicose veins to help patients with leg pain and swelling.

I am originally from Northern Ohio.  I lived there until I was 30, and then I realized that I liked more sun than clouds.  That revelation prompted a move to Arizona, and I haven’t been disappointed.
