Melissa Anderson, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Hi! I am Melissa and I was born and raised right here in Arizona (the Phoenix area) and although I love to travel I always like returning home. I stayed in this state to get my Bachelors of Science from Northern Arizona University my degree is in Zoology with an emphasis on health professions (which is just a fancy title for a degree in Human Physiology). I worked as a PT tech before I went on to get my Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from A. T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. I moved to Wickenburg in 2009 to work for the hospital and I am proud member of the community. Although everyone in healthcare, including me, says they want to help people, I became a physical therapist, because I wants to help people improve their function so they can get back to what they enjoy, even if it is a simple as improving function in the home. I have special training in pelvic floor rehab, manual therapy, balance, vestibular, and acute care. Although I am not currently participating with any hobbies or sports, I have spent time playing basketball, swimming, rugby, hiking and ballet. Now days, you are more likely to see me pushing my son in his stroller around town on the weekends.
