Rod Bain’s passion for Physical Therapy (PT) began as a teenager when he found himself on the receiving end of rehab. Inspired by the positive impact his PT had on him, Rod decided to pursue a career dedicated to helping others regain their function and improve their quality of life.
Rod’s professional journey kicked off after he graduated from Temple University with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000. Since then, he has accumulated diverse experiences across various settings and facilities. His path led him to join the Wickenburg Community Hospital (WCH) Rehabilitation team as a traveler in August 2021. By Halloween of the same year, he was hooked and became a permanent member of the team—never looking back.
Originally hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Rod moved to Southern California post-PT school, where he met his wife, Amy. In 2008, they made Arizona their home, residing in Waddell with their children and a small menagerie of animals.
When not contributing to the WCH team, Rod enjoys spending quality time with his family. He has a keen interest in languages and is an active musician. Rod is a member of the Phoenix Pipe Band, where he plays and teaches both bass drum and snare drum.
Rod Bain’s rich background and multifaceted interests make him a valuable asset to the Wickenburg Community Hospital Rehabilitation team. His dedication to patient care, combined with his diverse skill set and personal passions, underscores his commitment to making a positive impact in the field of Physical Therapy.
