Education and Leadership
Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Brizendine completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Clemson University in South Carolina. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University and further honed his skills during a comprehensive general surgery residency at the University of South Carolina. His residency included a one-year research fellowship and culminated in a chief residency at the VA Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Brizendine’s leadership in surgery includes serving as the Director of Surgical Services at Fitzgibbon Hospital in central Missouri, where he practiced for over 12 years before relocating to Arizona in 2022.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Brizendine is a devoted family man who values time with his wife, Sonal, a primary care physician specializing in Family Medicine and Geriatrics, and their six children.
