Hospital Services - Acute Care

Licensed as a 19-bed Acute Care Unit in Wickenburg, Arizona; staffed with professional physicians, nurses, and other highly trained staff, we provide a comprehensive medical delivery system of care 24 hours 7 days a week. We offer Transitional (Swing Bed) Care for those in need.

Secondary to being a rural healthcare organization, WCH makes every attempt to bring specialists to the patient bedside as needed to address patient care needs. Rural Physicians Group (RPG) has partnered with WCH to provide additional specialty care. This enables patients to avoid being transferred to another hospital for specialty care. The COMPASS Telehealth system allows these specialists to round with WCH providers for the following specialties:

  • Cardiac
  • Pulmonology/Critical Care
  • Nephrology
  • Infectious Disease

Keeping loved ones closer to home can significantly improve their recovery. This also reduces the strain on family, friends and care givers by removing the challenge of commuting out of town to be together while their loved one heals.

We recognize that patient visitors are an essential part of patient recovery and a positive healthcare course for our inpatient population at Wickenburg Community Hospital.  Here are some guidelines we need you to follow.

Healthcare billing delays often arise from extended insurance claim processing. These insurance delays can lead to confusion and financial strain for patients, who may not receive their bill until weeks or months after care is provided, making it harder to plan financially.

At Wickenburg Community Hospital & Clinics, we strive for timely and accurate billing. However, we cannot bill our patients until the organization has received full and accurate payment from insurance companies, a process that is often protracted and beyond our control. Once we are confident that the patient’s claims are processed and paid accurately by the insurance company, then we move forward with issuing a bill to the patient. Rest assured, we are committed to clear communication and our patient’s well-being.
